From Recreational To Technical

Tacoma SCUBA

Joshua Hill

Well I’m not much at typing about myself but here goes nothing.  I have many hats.  I am a Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps.  I am the Batallion Training Chief for 4th LSB.  I am half owner in a SCUBA shop, and I am a student at the UW.  Since you have found my page here, I guess you may as well know what I’m doing with it.  The above links will take you to the SCUBA shop I am owner of.  Looking to dive?  Come see me, want to join the Corps?  Go here.  Interested in my Oceanography project you are also in the right place.  As you  may know I am on the home stretch with my Oceanography Degree form the University of Washington.  As a final step I will be putting together a research project this quarter.  During Spring Break I will be headed to Glacier Bay Alaska to participate in some “Hands On” science.  After that I will be returning to finish the project.  If you are interested you will be able to follow my progress here.

The first step in this project is to figure out what I am going to study.  To that effect some research into other papers is due.  After locating a couple the production of an annotated bibliography is due.  You can check on it at the left.

The Cruise is getting much closer.  Looks like it will be March 15—26.  My research project will primarily consist of a mapping project.  There are a few new files up in case anyone is interested.

Owner, Instructor, Administrator, Jack of all trades….. some  of which I don’t want.
